Teaching Staff

  • The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust have not set their own conditions of service and so continue to follow the guidelines in the ‘Burgundy Book’.
  • Please note that none of our schools have performance related pay on the main and upper pay ranges.
  • The following guidance applies to staff who choose to move into The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust voluntarily: All adverts will specify where the post is based. The Chief Executive Officer (or such other person as may be designated by the Chief Executive Officer) may require you to work (for part or all of your working hours), after consultation, at any school in The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust.

Support Staff

  • The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust have not set their own pay and conditions of service and so continue to follow the guidelines in the ‘Green Book’.
  • The following guidance applies to staff who choose to move into The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust voluntarily: All adverts will specify where the post is based. For posts at SO1 or above, the Chief Executive Officer (or such other person as may be designated by the Chief Executive Officer) may require you to work (for part or all of your working hours), after consultation, at any school in The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust.

 

Guidance for all staff on Continuous Service Provisions

The following guidance applies to staff who choose to move into The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust voluntarily.

  • We will recognise your date of continuous service with any previous local authority (or one of its constituent authorities under the Local Government Act 1972) which runs up to the date on which you start work with The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust.
  • The calculation of continuous service for rights such as maternity, sickness benefits, annual leave and unfair dismissal are different for teaching and support staff and vary depending on the situation and are explained in the file found here (need a link to the ‘T&Cs guidance’ file)
  • Please note that all staff who choose to move into The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust voluntarily are covered under the Redundancy Payments (Continuity of Employment in Local Government etc) (Modification) Order 1999. The Modification Order provides that where an employee moves employment between any bodies listed on the Modification Order without a break between these employments, all previous continuous service will be recognised for the purposes of calculating pay in a redundancy situation. A break in service of more than one week (running from Sunday to Saturday) between contracts normally constitutes a break in service.
